Français : Titre : Hué, 1928 – Palais Kien Trung – Antichambre Notice : Salle d’attente au Palais Kien Trung. Le Palais Kien Trung, construit pa le roi Dong Khanh, palais personnel du souverain, se trouvait à l’intérieur de la Cité Interdite. La photo représente une antichambre de ce palais où les visiteurs attendaient d’être reçus par le roi. On pouvait y admirer les lustres, les lourds fauteuils Louis XV et les énormes vasques en porcelaine, dits “bleus de Hué”. Sur le Palais Kiên Trung, voir AP0047. Sur les bleux de Hué, voir AP0062. Notule : Hué – La Cité Interdite L’ensemble de temples, de palais, de maisons d’habitation, de jardins, de terrains vagues ou de mares qui forment la Citadelle de Hué, se divise en trois enceintes, en trois cités : – Thanh : l’enceinte extérieure qui forme ce que les documents appellent la Cité Capitale, Kinh-Thanh, habituellement désignée sous l’appellation de Citadelle ; – la Cité Jaune Impériale, Hoang Thanh ; enfin, enfermée dans les deux premières ; – la Cité Pourpre Interdite, Tu Cam Thanh, qui est à proprement parler la résidence particulière du Souverain. On accédait à la Cité Interdite par la Grande Porte dorée (Dai Cung Mon) qui se trouve juste derrière la salle du Trône (Palais de la Paix Suprême, Thai Hoa). Après avoir franchi cette porte on accédait au Palais des Audiences, Can Chanh, puis aux appartements du roi, de la reine, de la reine-mère, du prince héritier, des concubines ainsi que des constructions diverses : théâtre, pavillons de lecture ou de repos, bibliothèque.
