Summary
editDescriptionATHLETEs with crew module mockups.jpg |
English: Shown here are two of NASA's ATHLETE robotic rover concepts, each carrying a mockup crew module for use on the Moon or Mars. While these prototypes are less than half the size of the proposed full-size mission rover, they are still about 4 meters (13 feet) across. ATHLETE stands for All-Terrain Hex-Legged Extra-Terrestrial Explorer, and the design allows for rolling or walking across a wide range of terrain. |
