Deutsch: Der Kersten'sche Pavillon ist ein Gartenhaus aus der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts, und es wurde nach den Entwürfen des Aachener Stadtbaumeisters Johann Josef Couven (1701-1763) gebaut. Das Haus war zunächst im Besitz der reichen Patrizierfamilie Mantels und befand sich auf dem Grundstück Annuntiatenbach 20 in Aachen. Zu beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde es auf Betreiben des Bürgermeisters Hermann Veltmann und der Stadtverwaltung von der Stadt Aachen erworben und auf den Lousberg versetzt.

English: The Kersten Pavilion is a garden house from the middle of 18th century and was built according to the designs of the Aachen city architect Johann Josef Couven (1701-1763).
The house was initially owned by the rich patrician family Mantels and was located on the property Annuntiatenbach 20 in Aachen. At the beginning of 20th century, at the instigation of the mayor Hermann Veltmann and the city administration, it was acquired by the city of Aachen and moved to the Lousberg.
