Description
A double refracting wooden telescope on an equatorial mount. The telescope consists of a square wooden tube. Below the main telescope is a smaller sighting telescope. The telescope is inclined in altazimuth by a brass quadrant which has angles numbered on it. The whole structure is mounted on a mahogany support carved with acanthus decoration on its three legs and body.
