Portrait of Adriaen Paets (1697–1765), elected in 1734 as director of the Rotterdam Chamber of the Dutch East India Company. Bust, facing right, in an oval. Part of the Rotterdam VOC series, a series of portraits of directors of the Rotterdam Chamber of the Dutch East India Company executed for the Nieuw Oost-Indisch Huis, built in 1698, on Boompjes in Rotterdam.
