Nederlands: Afbeelding van inscriptie van de Volmolen of Italië-molen in Venlo met de tekst: "Vrijheyt Blyheyt. Coore Oli Peemolen aangelegt door J.C. Verzyl & W.Voss echdelyden, 1786." Deze watermolen uit begin 16e eeuw was oorspronkelijk eigendom was van de stad en de huisarmen, In 1762 brandde de molen af onder molenaar Joannes Moers, en in 1786 is de grond verkocht aan Jan Christaan Verzijl uit Katwijk aan de Maas. Deze bouwde een nieuwe molen. Verzijl was eveneens vanaf 1816 eigenaar van de windmolen aan de Molenstraat. |
