DescriptionAlaska Engine in Ohio (5592983873).jpg |
Driving home to Piketon from Chillicothe, Ohio along Old US 35, I spotted the Alaska engine near Vauces in Ross County. I turned around, found a safe spot to stop, got out of the car and used maximum zoom. The engine is an EMD GP49, manufactured by General Motors. There's an interchange at Vauces where US Rail transfers cars to the CSX. I'm guessing that US Rail bought the engine from Alaska. |
