editDescriptionAllard buffalo herd (1904).jpg |
English: in the 1880s, Charles Allard, of the Flathead Indian Reservation, began herding buffalo. Twenty years later, overhunting had led to the buffalo's near-extinction, and Allard's herd was extremely valuable. By 1904, Allerd had died and the herd was owned by his sons. |
