Amanita luteofusca Cleland & E.-J. Gilbert Image location: Swans Crossing State Forest, New South Wales, Australia I took the plunge and nominated Amanita, but that is about my limit. I did notice for some reason, maybe reflected light, that the mantle shows light mauve in one shot, and definately leaning towards brown in the other. I think I’ll leave this one for some judication. Debbie if you have time can you help out again. Ta KK Used references: Reid, D. A. 1980. A monograph of the Australian species of Amanita Pers. ex Hook. (Fungi). Austral. J. Bot., suppl. ser. 8.
