Dit is tank V(an) Dongen nr. 5915 van het 1e Eskadron Vechtwagens Knil met tankbestuurder korporaal Brassinga. Het is dus niet een tank van het 3e Eskadron VEW (dat inderdaad onderdeel T-Brigade was). Het 1e eskadron VEW is einde juli 1947 wel tijdelijk gelegerd geweest in de kazerne aan de Kanarielaan te Semarang ("de hangmat") van het 3e Esk VEW, vandaar wellicht de verwarring. Het is toe circa 1- dagen aan de T-Btigade toegevoegd geweest en vervolgens is VEW1 ook 10 augustus 1947onder commando gesteld van de W-Brigade en rond Ambarawa ingezet geweest.
