Mrs. Ira Lowe. 60-Year Resident of Rye. Mrs. Anna Lowe seventy-five of 21 Oakwood Avenue, Rye died suddenly this morning in the United Hospital. A resident of Rye for over years she was a member of the Rye Methodist Church. Her husband was the late Ira Lowe. Mrs. Lowe was born in New York City, October 20, 1881 [sic], daughter of the late Charles and Anna Augustus Kershaw Lindauer. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Testerman of the home address; a son Joseph Lowe, of Rye; three grandchildren, U.S. Army Capt. John Wahl of Fort Benning, Georgia; Mrs. W. F. Spaulding of San Antonio, Texas; and William Joseph Wahl of Rye, and seven great-grandchildren.

The birth record of Anna Lillian Lindauer (1872-1956) lists her birthday as October 20, 1872. She was listed as born circa 1873 in the 1880 United States census. In the 1900 United States census she listed her birth as "October 1874". By the time of death her birth is listed as "October 20, 1881". As time went on, she made herself appear younger.
