English: Anna Sara Hochschild (born on 27 February, 1891 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany; deceased on 28 February, 1972 in Zurich, Switzerland) and Paul Reiner (* 3 February, 1886 at Bleiweishof (farm) near Nuremberg, Middle Franconia, Bavaria; † 2 November, 1932 in Zurich, Switzerland) during WWI. Acc. to his uniform he is already an Officer deputy (Offiziersstellvertreter) wearing a portepée which allows to date the picture. Later in 1916 he got decorated with the Royal Bavarian Military Cross of Merit II. class plus on 30 August, 1916 the Prussian Iron Cross II. class and soon after on 30 Sep, 1916 he became promoted as a Secondary Lieutenant.
Deutsch: Anna Sara Hochschild (geboren am 27. Februar 1891 in Frankfurt am Main; gestorben am 28. Februar 1972 in Zürich) und Paul Reiner (* 3. Februar 1886 auf dem Bleiweishof (Gutshof) bei Nürnberg, Mittelfranken, Bayern; † 2. November 1932 in Zürich, Schweiz) während des Ersten Weltkrieges. Zu dieser Zeit studierte Anna Sara Hochschild, während ihr Verlobter Paul Reiner bereits in Chemie promoviert hatte. Ausweislich der Uniform ist er bereits Offiziersstellvertreter mit Portepee (seit 9. Dezember 1915), was die Datierung des Fotos erlaubt. Im Verlauf des Jahres 1916 wurde er mit dem Königlich Bayerischen Militärverdienstkreuz mit Krone und Schwertern II. Klasse und am 30. August desselben Jahres mit dem EK II ausgezeichnet, kurz danach am 30. September 1916 zum Offizier (Leutnant d. R.) befördert.
