English: These pictures can be used as a guide to locating the plaque marking the exact spot of the Assassination of Ninoy Aquino.
The plaque, at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, outside current (2023) Gate 11, Terminal 1, is inaccessible to the public, but nonetheless still visible from the terminal windows, and high-resolution satellite photography. In this particular photo, as we board the plane over the jet bridge we are almost directly over the plaque, looking straight down at it! In the corner we see another rectangular plate, but it is simply a partially painted over utility cover. We observe it is at a different angle relative to the painted lines and concrete blocks. Next, File:Aquino Assassination Plaque 213121.jpg shows more extent of the lines and analyzes their angles, which then help locating on the previous photo, File:Aquino Assassination Plaque 151054.jpg and air photos. As we see a white sock and black sandal, but it is just a reflection from the glass, not a foot on the pavement below. The ladder however is indeed outside the glass, on the ground. |
