St. Patrick's Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, Armagh, County Armagh, Northern Ireland English: Two-light stained glass window W28 in the north wall of the chancel (first from east) in memory of James Edward Jackson who was Dean and Rector of the cathedral in 1830–1841. The window was erected by the Archbishop Lord John Beresford. In the left light an angel presents the coat of arms of the Jackson family: Azure a fesse, engrailed ermine between three shovellers, argent, tufted at the head and breast, and membered or. The right light presents the coat of arms of the donor which are impaled with the coat of arms of the archbishopric on its dexter side, azure, an episcopal staff ensigned with a cross patée or, surmounted by a pall argent, edged and fringed gold, charged with four crosses formée-fitchée sable, and the coat of arms of the house of Beresford on its sinister side: Quarterly, 1 and 4, argent, semé of cross crosslets fitchée and three fleur-de-lys within a bordure engrailed sable; 2 and 3, argent, a chief indented sable.
