Suomi: Aseistakieltäytyjä ja pasifisti Arndt Pekurisen puisto on Itä-Pasilassa Rauhanaseman kupeessa. Pekurisen aseistakieltäytymisen saama julkisuus vaikutti vuonna 1931 Suomen ensimmäisen siviilipalveluksen mahdollistavan lain eli niin sanotun Lex Pekurisen säätämiseen. Pekurinen teloitettiin jatkosodan aikana Suomussalmen rintamalla. Vuosikymmeniä kuolemansa jälkeen hän on noussut maineeseen pasifistien marttyyrihahmona. Rauhanasema on entinen asemarakennus, joka on suomalaisten rauhanjärjestöjen käytössä. |
