Deutsch: BMW Kaczor, Baujahr 1968, beim Oldtimer Festival Nürburgring 2007. Der Konstrukteur Ferdinand Kaczor wurde 1941 in Altheim bei Landshut als ältestes von acht Kindern geboren. Er wurde Schlosser und begeisterte sich bald für Motorräder. Zunächst fuhr er eine 125er und bald schon eine 500-cm³-BMW. Während seiner Bundeswehrzeit entwarf Kaczor sein erstes Fahrwerk für die Zweizylinder-BMW. 1965 baute er es und fuhr damit Rennen. Ab 1968 arbeitete er in der Versuchsabteilung von BMW. Am 20. Juni 1970 verunglückte er 29-jährig beim Training zum Motorradrennen in Ziersdorf (Österreich) tödlich. |
