English: Painted inscription on the predella of the so-called Monakamer Altar (altar of Monakam) in the parish church of Monakam, a village near to (and today a district of) Bad Liebenzell, Germany. The altar was made in 1497. The inscription says “Er ist unser Friede” (“He is our peace”).
Deutsch: Gemalte Inschrift auf der Predella des sogenannten Monakamer Altars in geöffnetem Zustand. Dieser Altar wurde 1497 angefertigt und befindet sich in der Pfarrkirche von Monakam, einem Dorf bei (und heute Ortsteil von) Bad Liebenzell. Die Inschrift lautet „Er ist unser Friede“. |
