Description
Deutsch: Die Bavaria (der latinisierte Ausdruck für Bayern) ist die weibliche Symbolgestalt und weltliche Patronin Bayerns und tritt als personifizierte Allegorie für das Staatsgebilde Bayern auf. Sie ist eine Bronzekolossalstatue und befindet sich auf der Theresienhöhe. Sie wurde zwischen 1844 und 1850 basierend auf einem Entwurf von Leo von Klenze gebaut, von Ludwig von Schwanthaler modelliert und von Ferdinand von Miller gegossen.
