English: The striped meadow in the winding valley. View from east-northeast along the valley to the hamlet Klingen which belongs to Beilstein, Württemberg, Germany.
The hill slopes and forest contours, together with the field boundaries and field paths, emphasize the valley’s double bend. The conspicuously striped meadow in the foreground is a former orchard; the bare strips (due to intensive glyphosate use) had the plantation plants standing on them shortly before. The stripes were still visible several years later (this much about the alleged rapid degradability of glyphosate), but never as clearly as here in April 2016. Deutsch: Die gestreifte Wiese im geschwungenen Tal. Blick von Ost-Nordosten entlang des Tals zum Beilsteiner Weiler Klingen. Die Hügelhänge und Waldkonturen betonen zusammen mit den Feldgrenzen und Feldwegen den Verlauf des S-förmig geschwungenen Tals. Die auffällig gestreifte Wiese im Vordergrund ist eine ehemalige Obstplantage; auf den (durch intensiven Glyphosat-Einsatz) kahlen Streifen standen kurz zuvor noch die Plantagenpflanzen. Die Streifen waren noch mehrere Jahre später gut zu erkennen (soviel zur angeblichen schnellen Abbaubarkeit von Glyphosat), aber nie so deutlich wie hier im April 2016. |
