English: 3D reconstruction based on 30 consecutive SEM micrographs, including the whole field-of-view from Figure 5, but not the full 6 µm thickness, which was done to illustrate collagen fibrils in clear detail without over-crowding of the reconstruction. An animation through the whole volume was made from snapshots of a 30 slice thick 3D model sliding through the whole volume to better visualize the full extent of all the collected data. Scale bar is 5 µm. |
