Description

Es una especie típicamente mediterránea. En España y Portugal se da abundantemente, salvo en las montañas de la cornisa cantábrica y los Pirineos. Es una especie muy adaptable y de carácter nómada, por lo que se la encuentra en todo tipo de hábitats, incluso en lugares muy elevados Alas a color blanco o en su anverso, con ápice negro, moteado de blanco. En las alas la parte posterior , predomina el color verdoso, con manchas blancas

Los ejemplares de la segunda generación suelen ser más grandes
