Description
English: The Malabar woodshrike (Tephrodornis sylvicola) belongs to the family of woodshrikes, philentomas and flycatcher-shrikes, Tephrodornithidae. These woodshrike species are considered a subspecies of the large woodshrike. These birds are monotypic species. The Malabar woodshrike species are endemic to India. The natural ecosystems of these species include tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests, clearings in evergreen forests, tropical and subtropical dry forests and tropical and subtropical moist shrublands.
