Bound Brook
- Roy M. D. Richardson, of Beechwood Heights, has been elected the business manager on the, staff of Scarlet Letter, the college year book of Rutgers College, New Brunswick, at a special election held to fill vacancies caused by the failure of R. B. Searle, editor-in-chief, and Philip Ritter, Jr., business manager, to return to college.
- Miss Ada Kershner, who has spent the past two and a half! years as head nurse in a hospital at Gait, Canada, has returned to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kershner, on West High street, with the intention of remaining here to follow her chosen profession as a trained nurse.
- The Boys' Athletic Association of the Bound Brook high school elected the following officers at its first regular meeting: President, George R. Brokaw; vice-president, Russell Mingle; secretary, George Otto; treasurer, Randolph Mason.
- A special meeting of the Bound Brook Business Men's Association was held last evening, when the committee in charge of the dinner to be held at The Berkeley on Wednesday evening, October 8th, made their report.
- The Christian Endeavor Society of the South Bound Brook Reformed church will hold a business meeting in the chapel this evening at eight o'clock. This will be followed by a social hour. Runyon Field, of Hamilton street, has been awarded the contract for erecting a fine residence for H. G. Opdyke on Mountain avenue, near the foot of the Watchung mountain. Miss Flossie Koehler, of Elizabeth street, South Bound Brook, has been spending a few days with friends at Allentown and Quakertown.
- Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gulick, of Somerville, were visitors on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. William H. Wilson on High street, South Bound Brook.
- Mrs. Ephraim Saums, of Plainfield, was a visitor on Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Fisher on Cedar street, South Bound Brook.
- The Woman's Missionary Society of the South Bound Brook Reformed church will hold its first meeting of the season in the chapel this afternoon.
- The Presbyterian Sunday School Society will meet with Mrs. John H. Van Neste on East Union avenue tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock.
- Miss Edna Ebel, of Newark, was entertained on Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. George B. Lindauer on Cedar street, South Bound Brook.
- The regular meeting of Lewis Parker Lodge, No. 276, I. O. O. F., will be held in the I. O. O. F. hall this evening at eight o'clock.
- Mr. and Mrs. George Myers and son, James, of Weston, were visitors on Saturday and Sunday with relatives at Newark.
- Roy Rinehart, of East High street, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Rinehart at North Branch. Fred Swan, of Glasgow, Kentucky, is visiting with his brother, Peter Swan, on Clinton street, South Bound Brook.
- Russell F. Stryker, of West High street, is teaching In a school at Phoenicia, New York, this year.
- Henry F. Rugen, of Church street, has returned from a visit with relatives at Lachine, Canada.
- W. B. R. Mason, of West High street, visited with L. T. Stryker at Pennington on Sunday.
