Author Der Autor der Webseite "Steine in der Dreieich" teilte am 19. Juni 2024 mit, dass das Foto vermutlich erstmals in dem Artikel von Friedrich Wilhelm Schäfer: "Aus schwerer Zeit. Erinnerungen aus dem Grenzgebiet des Mainzer Brückenkopfes", in Ländlein Dreieich, 1933, S. 9, veröffentlicht worden sei. Der Fotograf ist nicht bekannt, und die Zeitschrift wurde 1935 eingestellt. In dem Buch von Heidi Fogel: "Eine Stadt zwischen Demokratie und Diktatur", S. 12, ist das Foto mit der Quellenangabe "Fotoarchiv Dreieichmuseum" abgedruckt. Nach Auskunft von Corinna Molitor, Leitung Dreieich-Museum, vom 13. Dezember 2023 gehört das Foto aber nicht zum Archivbestand des Museums.
