Lightwoods House is said to have been built by Jonathan Grundy in 1791, but a brick in the wall near the entrance porch is inscribed 'Jonathan Grundy, June 19, 1780'.

The house is currently near the end of a full refurbishment and should be open to the public before the end of 2017.
