Deutsch: Das „Apothekerhaus zur hl. Brigitta“ an der Adresse Wallensteinplatz 2 im 20. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Brigittenau. Das markante Eckhaus mit überkuppeltem Eckkerker in den Formen der deutschen Renaissance wurde nach Plänen des Architektenbüros „Brüder Drexler“ (Josef und Anton Drexler) 1894 errichtet. Bei dem Gebäude handelt es sich um eine weitgehende kopierende Übernahme der Architektur von Alexander Wielemanns Haus „Zum goldenen Becher“, das 1881–83 in der Singerstr. 1 errichtet wurde: [1]. Bauherr war der Apotheker Josef Tichatschek, der die Apotheke „Zur heiligen Brigitta“ am Brigittaplatz 8 vom verstorbenen Josef Ehrmann 1882 übernahm und dem 1884 (?) behördlich erlaubt wurde, die Apotheke in das Haus Wallensteinplatz 2 (Ecke Jägerstraße 34) zu verlegen: [2]. |
