For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB-Uhlemann-7.4.86-Berlin: Bezirke bauen Berlin - Verjüngter Jugendstil in der Köpenicker Oberspreestraße 182. Erfurter Bauleute der "FDJ-Initiative Berlin" verhalfen zahlreichen alten Gebäuden im Neubau- und Rekonstruktionsgebiet Köllnische Vorstadt zu schönerem Aussehen. Im 45000 qm großen Areal, das einst den Beschäftigten von Spindlers Werk - Wäscherei und Färberei meist bescheidenes Quartier bot, wurden seit September 1984 allein 107 Wohnungen modernisiert.
