Description
English: The southwestern part of the Butzener Bagen, a bog in the Lieberose Heath near Butzen, district of Spreewaldheide, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Germany. Picture taken from the Lake Mountain Circular Path (Bergseerundweg).
Deutsch: Blick über den südwestlichen Teil des Butzener Bagen in der Lieberoser Heide bei Butzen, Ortsteil von Spreewaldheide, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Deutschland. Der Butzener Bagen ist Teil des Naturschutzgebiets Lieberoser Endmoräne und als Totalreservat ausgewiesen. Die Aufnahme wurde vom Bergseerundweg aus aufgenommen, von wo ein guter Einblick in das Waldmoor möglich ist. Bei den Baumstümpfen und -stämmen handelt es sich um solche von Schwarzerlen (Alnus glutinosa). Ein ganzer Erlenbruchwald ist hier in den vergangenen Jahren abgestorben und innerhalb weniger Jahre komplett zusammengebrochen und teils auch schon im Moor versunken. Grund dafür war, dass sich der Wasserstand des Gebiets in der jüngeren Vergangenheit deutlich erhöht hat. Dies ist teilweise auch auf gezielte Maßnahmen des Naturschutzes zurückzuführen. Hier kann sich nun wieder ein „echtes“ Moor entwickeln. Der Wasserstand war im Trockenjahr 2020 allerdings erschreckend niedrig.
