DescriptionCalabacilla - Otura - Granada.JPG |
English: Water pumpkin, pumpkin botija or jug of pastor. Botle to carry and store water, which has globular, as the ordinary botija, widened neck to body lacking handles allows you to tie a rope to secure it to the crook, the belt or the saddlebags. Immemorial originally consisted of a small pumpkin emptied inside which served as a reservoir for liquids. Then, traditional pottery copied the form in various models of vessels, such as the botijillas, kegs or bottles. Along with the "venera" is an object representative of Pilgrim in general and the Pilgrim aesthetic iconography in particular. |
