English: 18 May 2011. Veolia staff and Tottenham Hale ward councillors discuss the long-standing problem of dumping in Carbuncle Passage - the alleyway above the culverted Moselle Brook.
(Left to right : Steve Fletcher, Fabrice Bouchon; Cllr Reg Rice; Cllr Lorna Reith; Jean-Francois Moreau ) As Lorna explained, the metal "pergolas" at either end prevented an earlier problem - flytipping vehicles which drove through the alley and dumped vast piles of stuff. But, as Steve Fletcher pointed out, rubbish is still dumped into the alley from back gardens - whether by residents, landlords, agents, or builders. ___________________________________________________ § See where these photos were taken. § Get the Freedom of Carbuncle Passage absolutely free.
