English: 45690 Leander with the Irish Mail excursion heading back to Crewe from Holyhead seen crossing the Afon Cefni viewed from the road bridge at Malltraeth.
So there are two connections between Malltreath and St. Helens - my grandad started off life in the former and moved to the latter and both communities have nineteen-arch bridges. Malltraeth has a railway viaduct and St. Helens has an aqueduct carrying a water pipeline across Carr Mill Dam. |
