Description
English: DNA damage may lead to initiation of a cell senescence programm of cancer cells. Human cancer cells were treated with genotoxic drug - etoposide, and than stained with an antibody against 53BP1 protein (RED) - the marker of DNA damage, tubulin (GREEN) - the marker of cytoskeleton, and DNA dye - DAPI (BLUE). You can see that drug-induced DNA damage red foci represent sites of genome breaks.
