Description Construction equipment stands ready to begin work on Route Highlife during a groundbreaking ceremony March 10, 2011 at the Khakrez District Center, Kandahar province, Afghanistan. The road – which is currently a gravel-road that has been washed out and damaged by IEDs – is 20-miles long and connects the Khakrez District Center to Kandahar City.
