Description

PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.

Rano Raraku volcano, now extinct, was formed more than 300,000 years ago. The volcano has a maximum height of 160 meters (525ft) on its southeast edge and the crater has an elliptical shape, the widest part is about 700 meters (2,297ft). Inside the caldera is a freshwater lagoon with lots of vegetation, it is about 3 to 4 meters (10-13ft) deep because of the frequent rainfall on the island. On the southeast side there are moai statues on the hill.

My coffee shop (Tim Hortons) is opening the sitting area, limited to 4 people per table. We are starting to get back to normal, as of yesterday, no new cases of virus and only 0 active ones in the province.
