Een man die al achtendertig jaar ziek is en niemand heeft om hem naar het water te dragen ligt op de voorgrond en wordt door Christus genezen. Christus geeft hem de opdracht zijn mat op te pakken en te lopen. Links loopt de genzen man met zijn mat op de rug langs de tempel. Twee farizeeën berispen hem, omdat hij op sabbat een mat draagt. Onder de voorstelling een verwijzing in het Latijn naar de Bijbeltekst in Joh. 5:2. Deze prent maakt deel uit van een album.
