| Description |
English: An unidentified Class 25 amidst the debris of Walsall Station on 13/10/78, during reconstruction.
Not the finest of photos, but irreplaceable. I was standing where the station entrance used to be in Park Street, looking down through what had been the wooden floor of the booking hall. This whole view would be Marks & Spencer nowadays, part of the Saddler's Centre. Some of the concrete floor for this edifice can already be seen in place above the loco. Scanned from a Fuji 100 colour negative. |
