Summary

Description

Franciscan Friary, Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland

English: East window with beautifully coloured stained glass, created in c. 1960 by Johnny Murphy (1921–2006) at the Dublin studio Murphy & Davitt. (See Nicola Gordon Bowe, David Caron et al, Gazetteer of Irish Stained Glass, p. 91, 270.) I guess that the window refers to I am the light of the world (John 8:12).
