English: Corinthian columns at Salamis of Cyprus. Salamis was an ancient city-state on the east coast of Cyprus, at the mouth of the river Pedieos, 6 km north of modern Famagusta.
The site is under the control of the turkish army since the turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 and the ethnic cleansing of the North Part of the Republic of Cyprus.
