Cortinarius talus Fr.

Image location: Fraser Experimental Forest, Grand Co., Colorado, USA

Caps up to 8.8 cm across. Spores 8.2-10.2(10.7) X 5.0-6.5 microns, elongate and minutely roughened. KOH on cap neg. Could be the pale version of Cortinarius multiformis; Cortinarius talus.
