Description

Cow dung is mixed with small pieces of hay and other crop waste and water. It is shaped into patty as above, then dried in sun. This fuel is used for cooking. It is common in India, and many other countries.

The cow dung cakes burn very inefficiently, are a major source of smoke, smog and air pollution.
