Deutsch: Das ehemalige Pförtnerhaus der Rothschild-Gärten an der Südwestecke des Heiligenstädter Parks im 19. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Döbling. Das eingeschoßige Gebäude in historistischer Formensprache steht unter Denkmalschutz und wurde als Pförtnerhaus errichtet als Nathaniel Meyer Freiherr von Rothschild in den 1860er Jahren die über 80.000 m² großen Rothschild-Gärten anlegen ließ. 1938 wurden sie arisiert und 1942 kaufte die Stadt Wien sie vom Deutschen Reich. 1949 verzichtete die erbliche Witwe darauf, trotzdem wurden sie 1962 rückgefordert. Am 30. Juli 1963 verzichtete die Sammelstelle A gegen eine Entschädigungssumme von 18 Millionen Schilling auf alle Rechte und Ansprüche bezüglich der Gartenanlage. 1977 wurde der Heiligenstädter Park um den nördliche Teil der ehemaligen Rothschild-Gärten erweitert. |
