Summary edit

Description
English: The Deep Space Climate Observatory, or DSCOVR, was photographed on Nov. 5, 2014, at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland, in front of the clean room tent that housed the satellite. In the weeks following, DSCOVR was shipped to Florida, in preparation for launch in 2015. DSCOVR is a partnership between NOAA, NASA and the U.S. Air Force. DSCOVR will maintain the nation's real-time solar wind monitoring capabilities, which are critical to the accuracy and lead time of NOAA's space weather alerts and forecasts. The satellite will also host NASA-funded secondary sensors for Earth and space science observations.
