Kort na de Japanse capitulatie van 15 augustus 1945 zijn deze Japanse propagandafilms door de terugkerende Nederlandse autoriteiten in Indonesië geconfisqueerd en naar Nederland verscheept. De films zijn vrijgegeven door het Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid na onderzoek in samenwerking met NHK Enterprises (Japanse Publieke omroep) in 2020. Deze films kunnen onjuiste, eenzijdige en politiek extreme ideeën bevatten. The films were released by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision after research in cooperation with NHK Enterprises (Japanese Public Broadcaster) in 2020. These videos might reflect erroneous, biased or politically extreme ideas."
