De mijnendienst weer in Den Helder; Zes mijnenvegers van de Koninklijke Marine zijn, sinds het einde van de Tweede Wereldoorlog, gestationeerd geweest in IJmuiden. Ze keren nu van daaruit definitief terug naar hun thuishaven Den Helder. Tijdens de vaart over de Noordzee vieren ze de elektrische veegkabels. In de haven van Nieuwediep meren ze af aan de kade.;
