World War II Memorial by Géza Széri-Varga and Anikó Udvardy, contributor architect László Borbola (used materials: bronze, concrete, artificial stone, granite and copper). There are hundreds of names of the local victims on plates. On one side are names of Holocaust victims, on the other side victims of soldiers and civic people. The main part of the monument a hole so-called 'Time spiral' in where small statue of three ageless, genderless, and faceless people march in a gale amidst the terrible vicissitudes of World War II, the shoe soles, the tracks in the 'asphalt'... Earlier a circe 3 meters size bronze Lenin statue by Viktor Kalló (installed in 1971, demolished in 1990) stood here /translated by Microsoft Bing - at its southern end of the Szabadság (Liberty) Square Park, Downtown, Békéscsaba, Békés County, Hungary.
