St Columb's Cathedral, Derry, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland

English: East window of the side chapel (the eastern extension of the south aisle) in memory of Bishop William Alexander, who was translated to Armagh and died on 12 September 1911. The stained glass window depicts Christ the King in its upper centre light and refers in its lower lights to Exodus 15:18 “The Lord shall reign for ever and ever” (left light with Moses), 1 Chronicles 29:11 (centre light with King David), and Isaiah 63:9 “in his love and in his pity he redeemed them” (right light with Isaiah). These three lights reflect the Archbishop's qualities as a leader, poet, and preacher. The window was created by Powell & Sons and unveiled on 20 March 1913. (Irish Times, 22 March 1913, p. 10; J.
