| Description |
Deutsch: Hauptgebäude Diesseits des reformpädagogischen Landerziehungsheims Schule am Meer im Loog auf der ostfriesischen Insel Juist im Freistaat Preußen, Blick aus nordwestlicher Richtung. Bei dem niedrigeren Anbau nach Osten handelt es sich um den Speisesaal, der vom ersten Schultag am 1. Mai 1925 an auch für Proben und Aufführungen des Schulchors, des Schulorchesters und des Darstellenden Spiels genutzt wurde. Nach Süden hin verfügte das Hauptgebäude über einen weiteren Anbau. Im Hauptgebäude wohnten bis zuletzt die Familie des Schweizer Lehrers Rudolf Aeschlimann (1884–1961) sowie Schülerinnen der mittleren Jahrgänge (Quartaner, Tertianer, Sekundaner) wie z. B. Beate Köstlin (* 25. Oktober 1919 in Wargenau bei Cranz, Ostpreußen, Deutsches Reich; † 16. Juli 2001 in St. Gallen, Schweiz), später verheiratete Beate Uhse. Zwei dieser SaM-Schülerinnen posieren auf dem Foto am Spätnachmittag in der offiziellen Schultracht und balancieren auf einer Mauer bzw. dem angrenzenden Lattenzaun. Bei dem Dünenpfad im Vordergrund handelt es sich in etwa um den Verlauf des heutigen Loogster Pad. |
