''do'', a building of ''Schule am Meer'', Juist

Summary edit

Description
English: The building on the East Frisian island Juist in Prussia had been the home of the Doyen family until it was bought by the Schule am Meer Foundation (Stiftung Schule am Meer). It got partially demolished and was built up again in a larger scale in 1927, internally named as do. Its first floor apt became the home of the Hafner family (Fritz Hafner, 1877–1964), the apt on second floor became home of the Luserke family (Martin Luserke, 1880–1968), while other rooms were used to house the sickbay and the first aid post of progressive boarding-school Schule am Meer. A wooden barrack named re containing two classrooms was attached to the north, a wooden barrack named mi was attached to the west to house Eduard Zuckmayer (1890–1972). Do-re-mi, see Solmization).
