St. Nicholas' Church, Church Street, Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland


English: Monument in memory of John Hamilton, captain of the 61st regiment. The motto Through and the crest of the Hamilton family is on top: Out of a ducal coronet or, an oak tree fructed and penetrated transversely in the main stem by a frame-saw ppr. the frame or. (Cited from Burke's General Armory, p. 446.) This memorial slab is not wall-mounted but stored within a cabinet on the west side of the north gallery. Inscription:
