St. Nicholas' Church, Church Street, Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland


English: Oval roundel at location 4e (before the break-in at location 5b) with Dutch or Flemish glass from c. 1650, depicting an angel bringing Habbakuk to Daniel. This refers to the Deuterocanonical section of Daniel, i.e. Daniel 14:31–42. Quote from Daniel 14:36–37, NRSV: “Then the angel of the Lord took him by the crown of his head and carried him by his hair; with the speed of the wind he set him down in Babylon, right over the den. Then Habakkuk shouted, ‘Daniel, Daniel! Take the food that God has sent you.’” Before 1960 at position 8 according to the notes by John Ribton Garstin.
